Abstract: By expounding on the connotation of crossover footwear, the differences between crossover and non-crossover footwear were compared. Several common crossover methods of footwear design were analyzed in combination with the design cases. Meanwhile, this paper analysed the aesthetic and functional aspects of crossover footwear products as well as their artistic expression forms based on the design elements of footwear. In addition, the rules of formal beauty in crossover footwear design were explored in order to promote the development of footwear design.
