Abstract: For decades, fashion industry and animal protectionists have been fighting for a long time on fur fashion. In recent years, the increasingly obvious ecological deterioration and social pressure have forced more and more people to face the plight of animal welfare and rethink profoundly on fashion. So, the important topic of sustainable development have been put forward. After analyzing the main claims and demands of both sides and their practical plans, the paper suggested that under the needs and context of sustainable development.The diversity of animal protection and utilization in different stages of social and economic development with balancing the rights and obligations of all parties should be recognized.The important role of scientific research and evaluation certification in building a new model and driving more responsible behaviors also should be emphasized, which is the core mode of sustainable development of fashion industry.
