Abstract: To systematically review the effectiveness of orthotic structure in alleviating foot deformity and pain in people with hallux valgus, this study used Revman 5.4 software to conduct the Meta-analysis of the 14 relevant papers included in this study, which involved a total sample size of 548 patients with hallux valgus. The effectiveness of hallux valgus orthosis was comprehensively evaluated by six indicators, namely hallux valgus, foot pain, interplantar angle, step length, gait speed, and step width. The results showed that the hallux valgus orthosis had different effects on the hallux valgus angle, pain, step width and stride speed of the patients’ feet, while the interplantar angle and step length showed no intervention. The pooled effect sizes showed that hallux valgus orthoses were effective in positive improvement of patients' foot data (P<0.05). By comparing the index data before and after intervention, this paper explored the difference between the structural effectiveness of hallux valgus foot orthoses, and put forward a scientific theoretical basis and a new carrier perspective for the future optimization design of this type of orthoses.
