Research on the Extraction and Reconstruction Method of Animal Leather Texture Feature

This paper proposed a method to describe the leather texture feature and reconstruct the leather shape from the eigenvalues. The hierarchical structure model of leather texture was firstly constructed, and then the measured values of leather surface were statistically analyzed to extract the parameters describing the appearance characteristics of leather texture, and finally the leather shape was reconstructed based on the extracted parameters and the hierarchical structure model of leather texture. Results show that the present method can not only improve the efficiency of leather pattern design, but also extract leather texture features more accurately.
