Manufacture and Quality Improvement of Automotive Suede Microfiber Leather

This paper summarized the present manufacture and quality of suede microfiber leather (SML) for vehicles introduced the quality indexes and process flow of SML, and described in detail the product characteristics of SML. The focus was played on four aspects of velvet feeling, volatile organic compounds, mechanical properties, and color fastness. To address the problems existing in SML manufacture and quality, the possible solutions were proposed. Finally, the future development trend of SML in China was prospected.
