Study on the Influence of Stretching Position and Stretching Force on Leather Area

  • In order to solve the problems of low automation and intelligence in the leather toggling process and the shortage of special production equipment, it is imperative to set up an experimental platform and design the orthogonal test. This paper explored the influence of stretching position and stretching force of sheepskin on the leather area yields in the stretching drying process, which provides a theoretical basis for the design of automatic leather stretching machine. By idealizing sheepskin, the stretching distances and stretching points were determined by using the method of drawing circles on the edges, and the size of the stretching force was changed. Based on the variance and range analysis, the optimum stretching point spacing distance could be achieved when the distance of the stretching point perpendicular to the direction of the leather back line was 9 cm and the distance of the stretching point parallel to the direction of the leather back line was 12 cm. In this scenario, the best stretching force could also be obtained when the force on a single stretching point perpendicular to the ridge line was 15 N and the force on a single stretching point parallel to the ridge line was 10 N.
