Abstract
In order to explore the innovative way of cultural heritage living inheritance, the cultural genes of mural paintings of Minnan Palace Temple are taken as an example, and the design practice of cultural and creative products is carried out by combining the leather carving craft. Firstly, based on the theory of cultural genes, we classify the cultural genes of Minnan Palace Temple to build a hierarchical structure model; secondly, we use Analytic Hierarchy Process to calculate the comprehensive weight of each factor and rank the importance, and select the design factors based on it; then, we analyze the actual demand of consumers for the cultural and creative products by combining with the theory of rooting; and finally, we use the shape grammar to practice the design translation of leather sculpture cultural and creative products. The rational use of Analytic Hierarchy Process and rooting theory provides a powerful support for the design of cultural and creative products, which can effectively promote the living heritage of cultural heritage.
