Abstract
Minnan flower bricks originate from the European Arts and Crafts Movement in the 19th century. With the entry of the "Art Nouveau Movement" and colonial expansion activities into Southeast Asia, they were introduced to Minnan by overseas Chinese from Southeast Asia and gradually integrated into a unique decorative art form. To achieve innovative application of Minnan flower bricks in luggage design, a Minnan flower brick factor structure was constructed to extract and encode the patterns, colors, and rules of Minnan flower bricks. A Minnan flower brick pattern generator was developed using computer-aided design technology. A questionnaire survey was conducted among personnel in the luggage industry using the analytic hierarchy process to calculate the weight of the criterion layer for Minnan flower bricks applied in luggage design, so as to carry out design practice. The results indicate that the Minnan flower brick pattern generator can significantly reduce the repetitive operations of designers and quickly generate diverse design schemes containing Minnan flower brick design factors, providing effective reference ideas for the efficient application of traditional cultural elements in luggage design.
