Abstract: The picture of “Group Portrait of Noblewomen” is one of the top-ten famous paintings in China, which is of great artistic and cultural value. On the premise of systematically combing the scroll dress patterns, this paper analyzed their artistic features from four aspects of modeling, composition, color and moral. Through the extraction and deformation of these patterns, the refining and resetting of colors, and the expression of cultural moral, this paper discussed the application methods of scroll dress patterns in leather goods design and demonstrated the feasibility with practical cases. This work is a practical practice of designing and empowering traditional patterns and culturally empowering industries, hoping to provide an effective idea for the living inheritance of the costume patterns in "Group portrait of Noblewomen" and the promotion of the cultural connotation of leather goods design.
