Abstract: Knitted and leather fabrics have different functional characteristics, rich forms of expression and different styles. If they are effectively combined and applied to modern luggage design, they will achieve unexpected application and aesthetic effect. Based on the current situation of luggage design and the development of fabric characteristics, this paper analyzes the functionality, aesthetics and comfort of knitted fabric and leather fabric inlaid in luggage design. It also discusses the design characteristics and methods of two kinds of fabric inlaid luggage. From three aspects of structural function, color aesthetics and decorative design in fabric inlay design, bring new inspiration to the process of modern luggage product design.
