Abstract: As a high-quality home decoration material, leather goods is increasingly favored by consumers, and its application scope and depth has also been significantly expanded. The visual and tactile sensory evaluation of leather and several common home decoration materials was carried out, and the results showed that leather was in the middle of the evaluation values of many sensory indicators. This means that leather is not only a kind of decorative material with strong plasticity and wide adaptability to styles, but also plays a role in harmonizing the contrast effect of various materials and blurring the texture conflict between materials. It is also because of the "neutral balance" characteristics of leather materials, that it can be coordinated with a variety of styles through different designs, and its application in home life is constantly expanded and deepened. Leather products on the one hand meet the needs of improving the quality of modern home decoration, on the other hand also promote the development of leather fabrics towards the direction of green, environmental protection and sustainable development.
