Abstract:
In view of the limited raw material resources and difficulties in degradation of petroleum-based plastics, protein has become an important raw material of new bio-based plastics because of the characteristics of wide source, environmental protection, good biocompatibility and easy biodegradation. In this paper, some existing research reports were reviewed, of which the protein-based plastics were prepared by blending, grafting and other modification methods and had a good application prospect in the fields of food preservation and packaging. The development of protein-based plastics will be an important way for the utilization of renewable resources in the future.
