Abstract: The equipment of leather manufacturing has important effect on guaranteeing the quality of leather product, raising productivity, lowering the cost, improving labor conditions and adopting a new technology. This paper summarized the current situation of the equipment and the main problems for leather manufacturing. The application of intelligent leather manufacturing has been recognized, which has become the inevitable trend of the development of leather processing. The advantage of the intelligent leather manufacturing present and future were analyzed. Finally, the development of digital leather making process and loading and unloading manipulator was prospected.
