Abstract: Nowadays, there are more and more cross-border cooperation between different fields in the design industry. The collision of different fields and elements will produce many unexpected sparks. The combination of contemporary leather products and traditional cultural elements will also be one of the important directions for the present and future development of leather product design. The Miao tin embroidery is selected as the object of application, and the technological characteristics, cultural connotation and artistic connotation of Miao tin embroidery are explored from its techniques, applications, materials, patterns, colors and other aspects. From the two aspects of pattern extraction and process application, this paper explores the way of combining Miao tin embroidery with leather product design, improves the creativity of contemporary leather products, and provides innovative reference for the inheritance of Miao tin embroidery.
