Abstract:
Heel height is one of the most important influence factors of medial arch angle, which is related with the comfort and stability of wearing. In this paper, the foot size parameters of 50 young women were respectively collected using a 3D scanner for four kinds of heel heights (0, 30, 60, and 90 mm), and the arch angle parameters between adjacent heel groups were compared. SPSS software was used for statistical analysis of the obtained data. The results showed that the difference in arch angles between adjacent heel groups displayed significant differences (p<0.05). When the heel height was 0-30 mm, the medial arch angle of 86% of the samples decreased, and the mean decreased slightly. When the heel height was 30-90 mm, the medial arch angle of the samples decreased significantly with the increase of the heel height, that showed a linear decrease trend (p<0.05). The results of the study provide the basic data support for the design of female high heel last.
