Abstract:
The chromium trichloride CrCl3·(H2O)6 was used as mordant for fur dyeing. Comparing different dyeing methods and mordant-dye ratio data, the experiments have carried out from the aspect of the chromium content in the bath, the dyeing fastness of the wool fiber and the dye uptake rate. It was concluded that post mordant dyeing is more feasible than the other two dyeing methods. Moreover, the mordant amount is approximately 0.6 g/L, and the amount of dye is 0.8 -1.0 g/L. Moreover, the mordant has no etching on the scaly layer of rabbit fiber, which will not have a great influence on the mechanical properties of rex rabbit fur.
