Abstract: Peony is one of the traditional and auspicious elements and Chinese people love it very much. As a decorative language, it has been melted into people’s beautiful longing and good wishes for life. The folk and culture, etiquette and regulation have different cultural implication in different places, so the application method of peony element always changes with varied cultures. Taking traditional and national style, luxury and graceful style, romantic and rural style for example, the design methods of peony element used in women’s dress shoe on wedding ceremony and banquet ceremony occasion are introduced in this article from the aspects of performance, color, material, ornament and so on.
