Abstract: This paper takes thermoplastic TPU artificial leather as the research object. Firstly, it expounds the concept and characteristics of TPU artificial leather, and deeply analyzes the artistic value of TPU artificial leather re - engineering design. It also clarifies that fabric innovation re-engineering can confirm clothing design style and enrich fabric culture connotation. And the role of increasing the added value of the product. The innovative reengineering design method of TPU artificial leather was studied in detail, and the two aspects of the artificial redesign and threedimensional reconstruction of artificial leather were elaborated. Through in-depth research on the innovative design of TPU artificial leather, it is learned that fabric innovation and redesign needs to combine technology and the development of the times, and it is more helpful for designers to deeply understand the relationship between clothing and fabric design, which has certain practical significance.
