Abstract: Based on the concept of Yunnan Dai nationality brocade art, this paper makes a comparative analysis of the cultural connotation and artistic characteristics of Dai brocade, and expounds the innovative application of brocade elements in the design of female bags, respectively, from the pattern, color and material of brocade. Innovative ideas and methods are summarized in terms of decoration and crafts. The brocade art has a strong cultural heritage and artistic expression. It combined with the modern handbag design, which not only promotes the traditional national culture, but also effectively enhances the added value of the handbag and expands the new creativity for the designer.
