Abstract:
large amount of solid waste is produced in leather production, and it lead to environment pollution. This problem limits the development of leather industry. In recent years, how to utilize solid waste has been focused on. Collagen fiber, as the main component of hide and leather, is a the kind of natural biological material with unique properties. Collagen-based carbon material, as a kind of porous carbon material derived from natural products due to high hydrophilicity, high specific surface area and other characteristics. It has been tried to apply in many areas such as adsorption materials, electrode materials, etc. Development of collagen-derived porous carbon may promote solving the leather wastes pollution problems effectively. In this paper, the preparation and application of natural -derived carbon materials in recent years are reviewed, and the latest progress in the preparation of collagen -derived porous carbon materials is emphatically analyzed.
