Abstract:
In this study, by self-designed controllable-degradation method, collagen(col) and aggregated collagen(AG-col) were prepared from fetal bovine acellular dermal matrix (FB -ADM). Atomic force microscope (AFM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),circular dichroism (CD),differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TG), mechanical tests and collagenase degradation test were conducted to characterize col and AG -col. Results showed that both of them owned obvious characteristic peaks in FTIR spectra, indirectly demonstrating the exist of their characteristic triple helix structure. However, AG-col is more advanced than col, with better thermal stability. Furthermore, the mechanical property and resistance to enzymatic degradation of AG-col were also superior to col.
