Abstract: The forming reason and warping of natural warp, technical warp and switched warp in sports shoes pattern making were researched by hieroglyph combination. Through practical teaching, the warping methods of toe cap, heel cap and retroflex lining about type C, type D, type T, type W and type Y were summarized. The processes and applications of different warps were also concluded, what's more, the kernel of warping was that the total area was equivalent and the length of upper connected thread was constant, and it could provide evidence for systematic studying of sports shoes pattern making.
