Abstract:
Objective The transformation and upgrading of the light industry have imposed new demands on talent cultivation in higher education. Young teachers as the main force in fostering virtue and cultivating people, it is crucial to stimulate the intrinsic motivation of young faculty to engage in teaching and educating students.
Methods This study delves into the root causes of existing issues from the perspectives of the mission of fostering virtue through education, the principles of effective teaching and mentorship, and the support systems for professional growth and development. It systematically investigates pathways to stimulate the intrinsic motivation of young faculty in light industry-related universities to dedicate themselves to teaching and educating students.
Results Targeted and innovative approaches are implemented to provide high-level guidance. These include establishing a systematic teaching training system to enhance pedagogical and practical capabilities and support professional development, creating a management mechanism oriented toward dedicated teaching and mentorship, and fostering a supportive environment by strengthening organizational care and emotional support, as well as improving working and living conditions.
Conclusion Stimulating the intrinsic motivation of young faculty in light industry-related universities to devote themselves to teaching requires an integrated approach that combines strengthening value guidance and professional identity, supporting professional development and teaching competence, optimizing evaluation incentives and institutional environments, and cultivating a culture of respect for teachers and humanistic care.
