Abstract:
Professional degree postgraduate education is an important way to cultivate high-level applied talents and plays a significant role in the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry and regional economic development. Compared with academic postgraduate education, professional degree postgraduate education emphasizes practicality more. As the main front for cultivating high-level professional talents, universities must face up to the current challenges in talent cultivation and clarify the training objectives. Training institutions need to fully implement and emphasize the practical connotation of professional degree postgraduate training. By a series of approaches such as strengthening policy guidance, innovating training models, and collaborating in multiple aspects, it is ensured that the quality of professional degree postgraduate training aligns with market demands and effectively improves the quality of professional degree postgraduate training. This study targets the postgraduates who have obtained professional degrees in the Light Industry discipline of Sichuan University in the past three sessions, proceeding from the educational practice of the whole chain of "recruitment-cultivation-employment", employing questionnaire surveys and empirical analysis as the main means, comprehensively analyzing the current training situation and exploring the thoughts on future development of professional degree postgraduates for Light Industry discipline.
